Hi, We're Toki Kids!

Toki Mats may have started with a play mat, but over the years, we’ve grown into something so much bigger. Now, our brand is entering a new chapter with a new name: Toki Kids.

In 2017, our founder and CEO, Eli Yonas, launched Toki Mats as a solution to a glaring gap in the market. Unable to find a play mat for her own baby that reached her high standards of safety and function, she set out to create her own. 

Eight years later, the Toki mat is an award-winning play mat with nearly 1,300 5-star reviews from parents who love the fact that it’s:

Following the huge success of our mats, we worked hard to create other play essentials for babies, toddlers, and families. With your support, we have been able to innovate new ways to support your child’s developmental journey with the same premium, non-toxic materials and quality craftsmanship you trust us for. Now, our product range includes play tents, bean bags, play cubes, support pillows, picnic blankets, and playpens, with other new products on the way.

Why we’re changing our name

Your little ones rolled, crawled, and took their first steps on our play mats, and as they grow, we want to grow with them. Although the mats can still be used for many years as a soft spot to sit, lay, and play, our new products are tailored to support their development through their toddler and young child years. Since we now offer more than just play mats for babies, the name Toki Kids reflects that growth and better represents who we are today.

What to expect from Toki Kids

Toki Kids is still a mom-owned small business with the same core values we started with. Our rebrand does not affect anything beyond our brand name, and we will continue to use high quality materials and thoughtful designs with a commitment to safety and sustainability. 

Although our products are designed with a modern aesthetic, they serve a bigger purpose beyond just being nice to look at. Each Toki Kids play product supports your child’s motor and brain development through safe, open-ended play.

Our products

Play mat (0+ months): Our play mats are made from natural latex foam with a marshmallow-like softness for unparalleled comfort and cushioning during tummy time, rolling, crawling, and walking.

Support pillow (0+ months): This support pillow can be used throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Use it to support your growing bump when side sleeping, as feeding support after birth to take strain off your neck and arms, and as tummy time support when your baby needs a little boost. 

Playpen (0-24 months): This wooden playpen crafted from natural pine perfectly fits a mega size Toki mat to create a safe, comfortable play space for your baby. Removable panels and tool-free assembly make it easy to use and easy to store.

Play cube (12+ months): Work on stacking, balancing, and creative play with these large play cubes made from soft, lightweight foam. 

Play tent (12+ months): This easy-to-assemble, easy-to-store play tent is home base for your child’s fantastic adventures. Designed to perfectly fit a standard size mat, it’s perfect for imaginary play and quiet time when your little one needs some space.

Play couch (8+ months): Made from soft, lightweight foam, this 2-in-1 couch to lounger is a comfortable place for your little one to sit, lay, or play.
